Access Auditing

An access audit is a sequential journey around a building and its built environment. Access issues are identified according to a criteria based on Part M of the building regulations, Part III DDA and current perceived best practice. A report, including observation and recommendations, is written and presented.

The Access Audit Consultancy works with liasing with building management professionals during the preparation of refurbishment plans, and also advises on current legislation.

Our consultation audit form has a pan disability perspective and our auditor has personal experience of disability.

The Disability Discrimination Act 1995 requires the providers of goods services and facilities to consider making reasonable adjustments to the physical features of their premises to overcome physical barriers to access. An Access Audit will help you identify them.

It is cost effective to commission an Access Audit before commencement of any refurbishment or modifications.
