Events

We hold a mixture of online and in person events (usually in central Sheffield, in accessible venues).
Everyone on our mailing list receives a monthly newsletter letting you know what’s coming up soon.

Some events have a particular theme, or are based around a particular interest (e.g. books, crafting) and occasionally we have talks from external speakers.  Other events are purely social, a chance to meet up and chat with other autistic women in a welcoming and supportive environment.

Upcoming events

Sat 7 Nov: Book Group

Mon 16 Nov: Online Discussion Group

Wed 18 Nov: Creativity Group

Fri 20 Nov: Decluttering Event

Sat 28 Nov: Monthly Social

Everyone on our mailing list gets a monthly newsletter with what's coming up.

You're welcome to join now and come to your first event whenever you feel ready. There's no pressure to attend.

What to expect at a WAND event

Trying something new can feel difficult, so here's what to expect at a WAND event:

  • There is no pressure to speak or join in
  • At online events, you can keep your camera and microphone off
  • You're welcome to sit quietly or take time to settle in
  • You can leave early whenever you need to
  • Group sizes vary from event to event
  • Some meetups are structured; others are more informal
  • We aim for a calm, welcoming and supportive atmosphere

Not sure about coming along? You're very welcome to ask us questions first. We can also arrange for someone to meet you beforehand and introduce you.
